Befanata di Capezzano Pianore
On January 5 of each year, in the village of Capezzano Pianore is held the Befanata: during this event a group of musicians and singers parade through the city center accompanying the Befana and the Befano who entertain the audience with numerous comedy sketches.
The festival continues with an event organized by the shopkeepers: “Aspettando la Befana”.
During this event you can taste the typical products of the city, fried panzerotti, wine, hot chocolate, while you attend the exhibition of groups of witches who offer sweets to children.

Known all around the world, the Carnival of Viareggio every year offers great fun and amazement thanks to its incredible and majestic floats.
The parade is held every year on the promenade of Viareggio and the main theme of the event is always satire with a social and political background.
The first evidence of this carnival dates back to 1873, when richly decorated carriages paraded along the Via Regia.
Since then the carnival came to life as it is today, a spectacular event that enchants young and old with its floats that want to be a sort of exorcism of collective discontent with a world that wants to oppress the weakest, all interpreted in an ironic key.
Feast of the gardens of Camaiore
While visiting Camaiore, you may come across the festival of gardens, a major event that lasts two days, which aims to emphasize the love and passion of Camaiore for the garden and agriculture as evidenced by the many companies in Versilia known for the production of garden plants.
During the festivities you will also have the opportunity to taste all the typical food and wine products and also be able to buy the fruit and vegetables of local companies.
Starting from this year the competition “Orti creativi – Festival degli orti della città di Camaiore” has been announced, which consists in the creation of a creative garden that must be created the day before the opening of the event in the streets of the historic center of the city.

Feast of San Ermete
To celebrate the end of the summer, on 28th August in Forte dei Marmi takes place the Feast of San Ermete.
This great festival is important not only from the religious point of view as it celebrates the patron saint of the city, but also from the cultural standpoint as the center comes alive with numerous stalls offering food, various items and clothing. Everything ends with a wonderful fireworks display on the sea.
