Mozzarella di bufala

The Buffalo Mozzarella, one of the most famous dairy products of Campania, is an absolute must. It is a soft spun paste cheese, made exclusively from buffalo’s whole milk. Mozzarella di Bufala Campana D.O.P. is an index of absolute quality of mozzarella, which according to the regulations can be produced primarily in Campania and especially in the provinces of Salerno and Caserta.

Castellammare di Stabia Taralli

Among the most traditional delicacies of Campania there are also the Taralli di Castellammare di Stabia, which are very tasty on the palate and must be tasted if you stay in the area. These are typical sweets that are tasty and crumbly, but also crunchy, especially on the surface. What makes this cake crunchy is the use of the sourdough. Finally, the taralli are coated with a glaze made with one albumen, 250 grams of icing sugar and two or three drops of lemon. Alternatively, you can coat the tarallo with the naspro made with 300 grams of sugar, 100 grams of water and lastly a teaspoon of baking soda.

Provolone del Monaco

Provolone del Monaco DOP is a typical cheese of the Sorrento area, and is a semi-hard, mature, spun paste cheese produced exclusively with the use of hard milk. It is called this way because the ancient cheesemakers landed at the Port of Naples, with their cheeses, wrapped in a cloak similar to that of the monks.

Limoncello

According to the tradition of Campania every meal must be concluded with good Limoncello, in particular with the typical one of the tradition of the Amalfi Coast. Limoncello della Costiera Amalfitana is a liqueur obtained by distilling the peel of the lemon Costa d’Amalfi IGP (Indication of Protected Origin). It is a completely natural product, characterized by excellent properties, an intoxicating scent, a unique taste and all following the ancient recipe of this beautiful sea area.

Spaghetti alla Nerano

One of the typical delicacies of the Campania cuisine are the spaghetti alla Nerano, flavoured with two simple but tasty ingredients at the same time, namely fried zucchini and Provolone del Monaco. The latter, melting, becomes creamy and accompanies perfectly the spaghetti.

One of the most famous typical dishes are the seafood scialatelli. The recipe consists of fresh pasta accompanied by mussels, clams, sea truffles, shrimps and prawns for a triumph of flavors of the sea.
