Amandola

Amandola which is located in the province of Fermo, has the distinction of having been built on three hills, which have taken their names from their castles. Amandola was born from the union of these three castles in 1248. Its territory met between 568 and 570 the invasion of the Goths and later that of the Langobardic.

Among its many attractions and monuments stands the San Francesco Church in Romanesque style, recognizable by the linearity of its facade. The Church of St. Augustine, also known as the Sanctuary of the Beato Antonio is of great interest too, dating back to the fifteenth century with a beautiful portal built in Gothic style.

The eighteenth-century former Collegiate, Piazza Alta is also to be visited, where the Palazzo del Podesta dating back to 1352, the Abbey of Saints Vincent and Anastasius and the Abbey of Saints Ruffino and Vitale are situated.

Monte San Martino

A vacation at the Country House La Querceta, which is located in the Marches region in Amandola in the Province of Fermo, will give you the opportunity to admire Monte San Martino which is located in the province of Macerata.

Capital of the rose apple, its origins are lost in the mists of legend and history. Perhaps it was a Roman colony, but today is a charming village with a fascinating architectural, cultural and artistic heritage. The Church of San Martin is also interesting, located in what is the highest point of Monte San Martino. Among its various artistic beauties a fresco by Vincenzo Pagani from Monterubbiano, a polyptych by Girolamo di Giovanni da Camerino, a polyptych made by Carlo and Vittore, two polyptychs of just Vittore and three polyptychs of the Crivelli are to be reported.

In addition there are also in its central square interesting nobil palaces dating back to the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries and four beautiful castle doors. The old prison of the Ospicium Inimicorum certainly represents another important monument that you can visit in Monte San Martino.
