Hotel Du Lac is a nice 19th century mansion in Villa di Gargnano on Lake Garda. One of the smallest hotels overlooking the lake offers an elegant and cozy atmosphere that looks like a house, nestled between the landscape of the Alto Garda Bresciano Park and Monte Baldo. Away from noise and stress, the hotel is the ideal place to  know Lake Garda, a land of lemon groves and vineyards and the village of Gargnano boasts a precious citrus cultivation. Also the Hotel Du Lac contributes with its lemon grove, the production of capers, the recovery of an old vineyard and an excellent extra virgin olive oil. To visit the area, every week you can participate in the guided walk through the typical cobbled streets of the late 19th century, the traditional houses and the Chiostro di San Francesco. Landscapes and views that English writer D.H. Lawrence loved to visit and tell, as he actually stayed at Villa Igea in the winter between 1912-1913, enchanted by the slow and peaceful rhythms of the lake. A few minutes from the hotel is the Lido dei Limoni, run by the same family, where you can rent beach equipment, kayaks, pedal boats and stop in the bar to enjoy the magnificent view of the Gargnano Riviera. While exploring the hinterland, several routes are available by foot or by renting bikes directly at the hotel reception. At Gardone Riviera you can visit the Vittoriale, home of Gabriele D’Annunzio and the Hruska Botanical Garden full of rare plants. At Toscolano Maderno is the Paper Museum, with photos and objects bearing witness to the ancient local tradition. At about 15 km you can admire Isola del Garda, the beautiful villa and the Italian and English gardens. Reaching Tignale you can visit the impressive Sanctuary of Montecastello overlooking the lake.

Hotel Du Lac is perfect for a holiday in total relaxation, thanks to the recently renovated rooms. 6 rooms have balconies overlooking the lake with an incomparable view, others 6 rooms overlook the scenic central street adorned with numerous bougainvilleas. The interiors are furnished with period furniture dating back to the 19th and 20th century, paintings, prints, photographs and tasteful details everywhere. In all rooms there is cable or wi-fi internet, safe, telephone, hairdryer, satellite TV and air conditioning. A room hosts books in different languages and an antique piano, from there you access the bar and the dining room with panoramic windows to admire the view of the lake. Around the restaurant there is a small garden with a large palm tree against the clear sky. For the most passionate of lake life, not far from the hotel is the Lido dei Limoni, run by the same family, which offers beach service, kayak rental, pedal boats and a small bar with an exceptional view of the Gargnano Riviera.

At the Hotel Du Lac, the Arosio family, whose history is bound to the lake history, will warmly welcome you and will be happy to give you all the information on excursions and activities to do in the surrounding area. The family, once involved in the handcrafted construction of pianos, has its roots in Milan and in Lodi at the end of the 19th century, and then moved permanently to the lake in 1943, until the purchase and renovation of the small and intimate pension Maria Pia in 1975 with the name of Hotel Du Lac. Since then the Arosio family welcomes travelers from all over the world with the same passion and the same love of the past.
