As a matter of fact, in about 30 minutes by car you can reach the glamorous beaches of the Ligurian Sea, in about an hour Alassio and San Remo, and Nice is just an hour and a half away. You can embark on a voyage of discovery of the area’s typical villages, such as Pieve di Teco, with its museum, cathedral, theater, and antiques market, and of its eno-gastronomic specialties-wines such as Vermentino, oils, and sausages-thanks to cooking classes and guided tours with tastings at wineries, oil mills, and the Oil Museum. For those who love nature, the area offers parks, oases, natural caves, bays, waterfalls, mountains and streams that can be reached by following hiking and biking trails. Festivals, historical re-enactments and festivals related to traditions allow visitors to discover the rich local cultural heritage.

Casa Rosalie, named after its owner, former site of workshop and courses, has been transformed, after extensive renovations, into B&B Casa Cantoniera, in Colle San Bartolomeo, Liguria, ideal for enjoying vacations, whether with family, couples or friends. The Casa Cantoniera is named after the “cantonieri,” the workers in charge of road maintenance, who were once required to reside at their place of work. The buildings in which the cantonieri were housed are characterized by the Pompeian red color and generally bear the inscription “casa cantoniera” accompanied by the number of the state road and respective kilometer, which they overlook. After successfully running a Recycle Art store in Munich, Rosalie Hoffmann decided to marry her passion for the countryside with that of upcycling, which is the creative reuse of used products that through a transformation process give rise to new objects perceived to be of higher quality, to which artistic or environmental value is attributed. During her wanderings around ancient Ligurian villages, she discovered numerous old and forgotten pieces of furniture and decided to organize courses to teach how to transform them into true rarities.
The owners have renovated the house, making it a cozy and unique place where guests can relax in a quiet and homely atmosphere.

B&B Casa Cantoniera features 3 rooms of about 18 m2, all distinct, renovated and tastefully decorated in Mediterranean style, with mountain views; two of them have bathrooms that can be accessed directly from the room through a connecting door. The house features a breakfast room, a workshop for classes, and a large garden with terraces with beautiful views over the valley to the sea.
