Villa San Simone, is a magnificent location perched on a hill, 4 kilometers from the center of Pistoia, in Tuscany. It is the perfect place to visit the most beautiful cities of art of this region, such as Florence, Lucca, Pisa and Siena, all just a few tens of kilometers away. A charming town of Roman origin, Pistoia boasts a historic center full of churches, cloisters, palaces, museums and monuments located around the magnificent Piazza del Duomo. The hills surrounding the city boast fascinating villages, churches and fortified castles. Towards Lucca, you can admire the remains of the fortresses of Serravalle Pistoiese that distinguish the town and its valley. Nature lovers can follow the paths of the Ecomuseo della Montagna Pistoiese and discover the many great sites, both in summer and winter, for trekking and snow activities. Also beautiful are the chestnut woods in the area of Marliana and the large beech forests of Abetone. Among the many great beauties of this land are wine products (Chianti, Carmignano), those of hillside agriculture, such as extra virgin olive oil of exceptional quality and raw milk pecorino cheese. In the area, called chocolate valley, you can find excellent quality products by chocolate artisans, such as Catinari and Slitti. Pistoia is the European capital of ornamental nurseries, boasting over 800 nurseries, most of which can be visited. Among the events that you can attend, in May there is the cultural festival Dialoghi sull’Uomo, in July the Pistoia Blues Festival and the Giostra dell’Orso, which recreates the magnificence of a medieval tournament.

Villa San Simone is born from the renovation of a small Romanesque church of the 11th century on the first slopes of the hill around Pistoia, in Tuscany. The owners, Lidia and Sandro, architects, have restored it with care, transforming it into a refined residence nestled in a splendid panoramic garden. Indoors, antique furniture and an outstanding collection of design objects from the 1970s create a refined atmosphere. The structure offers seven apartments of different sizes, with kitchen, private bathroom and all modern comforts. Three three-room apartments: La Torre, on the top floor of the villa, with parquet floors, views of the hill and the garden; La Cucina dei Frati, on the ground floor of the villa, country-style with a large private garden, direct access to the pool and stunning views of the city; the elegant Abside, located on the second floor of the villa, overlooking the park and the hills. Three one-bedroom apartments: Levante, on the second floor, with a panoramic view of the garden; I Lecci, on the intermediate level between the ground and first floors, overlooking the hills and the garden; the Salone on the second floor of the villa, overlooking the garden and the city, featuring a spacious living room fully decorated. The Ponente studio apartment, on the second floor of the villa, overlooking the garden and the city is also fully decorated. In some apartments it is possible to add an extra bed upon request.

Surrounded by a vast park covering more than 60,000 m2 and embraced by olive groves, it boasts a magnificent garden complete with tables, chairs and barbecue area, where you can relax and dine in the shade of centuries-old trees, admiring the splendid surrounding landscape. The breakfast, upon request, typical Italian or continental, is served in your room or in the garden, and is based on homemade products – cakes and jams – and local eggs, milk, cheese, ham, yogurt, fresh fruit. In this haven of peace you can relax at the edge of the splendid infinity pool reserved exclusively for guests, bathed in sunlight from dawn to dusk, situated on a natural terrace among the olive trees, with a stunning view over the valley of Pistoia. The facility offers a common laundry room, with two washing machines and a dryer, and private parking.
