The nearby Acqui Terme is an ancient Roman city renowned for its thermal springs. You can stroll through the lively old town, with its many restaurants and markets, or visit the historic city of Alessandria, the magnificent Alba, Asti or Barolo, just an hour’s drive away or reach the Ligurian coast. All the seasons present their own special charm, but autumn is the central moment of the year with thanks to its wines and truffles. You can join a truffle hunter with his dog, then enjoy a delicious local meal or take a culinary journey of discovery in the markets and restaurants of the region. Sports enthusiasts will have many opportunities, such as golf, hiking or cycling.

At the Villa Giarvino, close to Acqui Terme, it is possible to explore the estate strolling in the middle of vineyards and orchards, following winding paths and enjoying breathtaking views. The hosts, Fredy Wiederkehr and Romy Dübener, who are passionate about Piedmont, will be happy to guide you and share their knowledge about nature, viticulture and orchards. They offer 1 superior suite, with balcony on the surrounding landscape, 3 junior suites and 4 double rooms, all different, with private bathroom with shower or bathtub, equipped with all comforts, furnished with taste and elegance. The house is surrounded by a large garden and a spacious terrace where you can sip a glass of wine and open your eyes to the surrounding hills. There is a lovely lounge with a large fireplace, sauna and Turkish bath, with direct access to the garden.

At Villa Giarvino, you will discover the pleasure of sharing an excellent Piedmontese buffet breakfast. On request, you can also have dinner. The owners offer several themed days on wine, truffle hunting, active discovery of the region, singing, culture and cuisine. Also they will be happy to take you to the cellars to discover the wines and spirits of Piedmont. You can relax in peace and tranquility and admire nature or embark on culinary, cultural or sportive explorations.
