B&B Virò House is located in Squinzano, a town in the beautiful Salento peninsula, and just 6 km away, in Campi Salentina, is Virò B&B. They enjoy a uniquely advantageous situation, standing as they do half way between Lecce, with its stunning Baroque architecture, and ancient Brindisi, known since Roman times as the “Door to the East”. One can reach both cities in 20 minutes and some of the best beaches in Puglia in about half an hour in the car, such as Torre Chianca on the Adriatic Sea and Porto Cesareo on the Ionian coast.
B&B Virò House is a handsome two-storey building, quite unusual in shape, which stands on the corner of two roads, only 2 km away from the centre of Squinzano. On sunny mornings breakfast is served in the large garden that surrounds the house; a porch looks out onto it and, after a day spent exploring the splendid region of Salento, there is nothing better than sitting outside and enjoying the tranquillity of the garden. Inside B&B Virò House the rooms are full of light, which falls on the walls and makes their colours, ranging from sage green to dove and pearl grey, look more intense and complement the lighter tints of the simple-lined furniture that decorates the spacious sitting room and the kitchen-breakfast room.Virò B&B, on the other hand, is a typical Salentine house built in the 1900s, also surrounded by a lovely garden.
There are four rooms at B&B Virò House. They all carry family names, but otherwise they are quite different; the floors are marble or parquet, and they appear elegant and sober, with their wood bedsteads picking up the colours of the walls and creating an almost chiaroscuro effect that speaks volumes of careful attention to details. At Virò B&B there are three rooms in all, and they have a very special feature, a star-vaulted ceiling made of Leccese stone.
