Agriturismo Podere Prasiano rises on a hill in the Marano sul Panaro area, which represents a perfect starting point to visit the big cities and towns of Emilia Romagna: Bologna and Modena, for example, are about an hour away, and the eminent towns of Maranello, the home of Ferrari, and Vignola can be reached in 30 minutes.
In the heart of Marano sul Panaro, in Emilia Romagna, Agriturismo Podere Prasiano extends over an area of 5 hectares, with two old buildings that are used for agricultural purposes as well as to accommodate guests. The old stone farmhouse was built in 1920 and the proprietors Emanuela and Massimo have recently restored it with natural materials, in keeping with its rural character, while introducing harmonious, modern and refined elements. The facades are in stone and handmade bricks, and indoors some of the ceilings are vaulted, also made of the local stone, while others have exposed beams. Ecology and sustainability are behind the choice of underfloor heating provided by renewable energy, and rainwater is collected and used for irrigation, in the respect of nature and the environment.
Agriturismo Podere Prasiano is set deep in the spectacular Panaro river valley; its carefully tended garden and the terrace with the outdoor pool look out over the untouched countryside and are the perfect place to relax. The hotel opened in 2011 and has six ample uncluttered rooms, with fired earth tiles on the floor and furniture in white stained chestnut, all the modern comforts and a magnificent view over the surrounding countryside. The Restaurant is on the 1st floor of the main building: here one can try the slow food meals cooked by the proprietor following the traditional recipes of Emilia Romagna. Emanuela has in fact a passion for natural food and only uses seasonal produce grown on the farm to create her dishes, all lovingly prepared in her kitchen.
