La Pieve Marsina is located in a medieval rural village nestling among the rounded hills of Tuscany, a stone’s throw away from ancient castles and renowned wineries; this area in fact, with its rows of Chianti vines, is well known to wine lovers. Picturesque historic towns can be reached by a short drive: Siena, famous for its Palio horse race and exquisite beauty, Greve and Castellina in Chianti are only 30 minutes distant, while Rapolano Terme is about 45 minutes away. Bike lovers, on the other hand, will not be able to miss the opportunity to cycle the Eroica route, a unique trail that skirts La Pieve Marsina.
Several buildings of the medieval hamlet have been converted into guest apartments and form part of La Pieve Marsina. A garden encircles the houses, and visitors sitting on the terrace under the pergola or dipping in the waters of the panoramic pool will be drinking in its natural beauty and the vistas of the rolling hills of Tuscany beyond. The reception is situated in a lovely building that used to be a church, and here one can find Gianni, the owner of La Pieve Marsina, at any time of the day, busy managing the place and taking care of his guests. Within the walls of the main structure a Jacuzzi, designed for use by up to five people, has been installed under a vaulted stone ceiling, in a truly memorable setting.
La Pieve Marsina has five apartments. They differ in size but are all self-contained and Wi-Fi enabled, with access to the garden and views of the stunning scenery of Tuscany. Exposed stone walls, terracotta floors and ceiling beams create an atmosphere of warm comfort, and sitting around the big wooden table in the spacious kitchens or beside the huge fireplaces, guests cannot feel anything but perfectly at home.
