Casa Fluo’ Relais

Casa Fluò Relais is surrounded by nature, but just 10 minutes away is Bologna, a city larger than life, and its Piazza Maggiore or Main Square.  This is a splendid location, as the house sits amidst ravines and rolling hills, on the Apennine ridge that traverses Emilia-Romagna; on horseback, bike or foot, one can set off in any direction and be amazed by the beauty of the territory.  Or guests can get in a car and go to Bologna, known as the Learned, the Fat and the Red One, and discover its richness.

Casa Fluò Relais is the original creation of its multi-talented owner Angelica Zanardi, an actor and theatre director who certainly does not lack in inventiveness.  The name of the property is unusual but is inextricably connected with its surroundings, and more specifically with a stone that contains phosphorescent pigments and was first discovered in this area in the 17th century.  The house itself looks like the embodiment of our childhood dreams, with its primrose yellow facade and sloping tiled roof, and a garden and meadow all around.  Next to the B&B is Fienile Fluò, a building as magical as Casa Fluò Relais. Inspired by Angelica’s passion for her profession, Fienile Fluò is a little jewel of a theatre, with about 60 seats and a rich programme of shows and cultural events all through the year.  There is also a restaurant, with a lovely bohemian atmosphere and a country-style decor, where delicacies prepared with fresh produce from the farm are served to delight the most discerning palates. The communal areas of Casa Fluò Relais, just like its guest rooms, have exposed ceiling beams and wooden floors, and have been carefully and beautifully furnished, resulting in a warm, comfortable environment.

There are four rooms at Casa Fluò Relais, each different from the other in colour, and scent!  One nestles under the eaves of the roof, another has its own Turkish bath, but they all enjoy views of the garden or of the hills, are furnished with beautiful antiques and provided with modern comforts and the latest technology, including Wi-Fi and docking stations.
