Casa della Torre is a handsome stone house situated in the historic centre of Stroncone, a medieval little town that has rightly been listed as one of the most beautiful of Italy.  Similarly attractive are the towns of Narni, Spoleto and Rieti, which can be reached very easily.  Perched upon a rocky ridge, Stroncone offers spectacular views, and visitors to Casa della Torre will have the best of all worlds, enjoying a wonderful panorama, a lush natural setting and plenty of peace and quiet.  This is the heart of Umbria, where visitors can trace St Francis’s steps and discover convents and sanctuaries, trekking their way around the area; or, riding a mountain bike, they can climb hill paths.  On offer is also the opportunity to try the thrilling sensation of paragliding.

Casa della Torre consists of one spacious apartment, complete with a beautiful terrace that looks out over the square, Piazza della Torre.  Terraces are rare in the centre of Stroncone; in fact they are almost a luxury, and the proprietors are justly proud of theirs.  Staying at Casa della Torre is an unforgettable experience, and many simple delights await its guests: waking up in a medieval town, surrounded by quiet and beautiful countryside; breakfasting on a terrace, breathing in pure air and the spectacular scenery.  The square below is the destination of Stroncone’s inhabitants and tourists who are out for a stroll; from there one can continue towards the pedestrianised area, walking the narrow streets that branch off Piazza della Torre and admiring the old handsome houses that grace the town.

Casa della Torre has a double and a twin bedroom, and there is a sofa bed in the living room, which makes it ideal for a family or for a group of 4 people.  Restored a few years ago, this delightful stone house has a typical medieval façade and matching front doors, in solid old wood.  The rooms are elegantly furnished, with beautiful floorboards and rugs that perfectly match the modern lines of the sofas; provided with all sorts of comforts, Casa della Torre’s guests have an independent heating system, free Wi-Fi connection, a fully equipped bathroom and a flat screen TV.  The kitchen is large, with an old fireplace and all kinds of appliances, including microwave and espresso machine to make strong Italian coffee or Americano, as required. The owners will welcome their guests with fresh local produce of the finest quality: milk, olive oil, vinegar, sugar, pasta and coffee.
