Agriturismo Beatilla is a holiday farm situated in Marmirolo, in the lower Padan plain, just outside Mantua, a Unesco World Heritage Site and Italian Cultural Capital for 2016 too. This territory, crossed by the River Mincio, lies in Lombardy and is flanked by the regions of Veneto and Emilia Romagna, between Lake Garda and the River Po. It is a protected area that can be explored widely by following the many nature trails that traverse it, such as the cyclable route that goes from Mantua to the historic town of Peschiera del Garda; a boat tour of Mantua‘s lakes is another attractive way to see the landscape. Also within easy reach and absolutely unmissable is the Hunting Lodge which stands in the Bosco della Fortuna, ancient forests that belonged to the powerful Gonzaga family of Mantua and are now designated as a Biogenetic Reserve.
Agriturismo Beatilla is perfectly integrated in its natural surroundings. Its proprietor Luca Bornoffi is a true eclectic who has drawn on his knowledge and great passions to create the interiors of his Beatilla. After studying for a Master’s degree in Hotel Management in London, he went to Milan, to the European Institute of Design, to train in Interior Design; since then he has travelled the world, exhibited his creations and collaborated in the realisation of the interior design of luxury hotels in the Antilles. Agriturismo Beatilla’s rooms and apartments incorporate a series of eco-friendly features and recycled materials; splashes of bright colours are evident in furniture finishes, accessories and furnishings, creating a vibrant and warm atmosphere. The communal areas, from the breakfast room to the restaurant and the library, are located in a single-storey building; natural light pours in through floor to ceiling windows, bounces off the white walls and picks up the brilliant colours of the original artworks that decorate the space. Agriturismo Beatilla is surrounded by fields cultivated with cereal and forage crops, while vegetables grow in the kitchen garden. Visitors can admire their surroundings and relax from under one of the pergolas, enjoy the sun on the terrace or huddle around the barbecue.
Agriturismo Beatilla offers rooms, studio flats and one-bedroom apartments, all named after the hues prevailing in their decor and furnished differently. Nevertheless they are also distinctively alike: ecodesigned, built with reclaimed and natural materials, decorated with original artworks and bright colours to enhance the benefits of chromotherapy.
