Essentia is a small country house in the countryside of Larino, a few kilometers from Termoli in Molise. In this charming farmhouse surrounded by a large estate among the hills and a green valley, you will be welcomed for an authentic holiday made of slow rhythms and serenity. Essentia is in a wonderful position to enjoy the beauties of the area. Starting from the house you can visit Larino, its Roman amphitheater and the 13th century Cathedral in Roman-Gothic style. If you love outdoor sports, the owners set up excursions on horseback, on foot or by mountain bike, during which you can admire the beautiful surrounding landscape. In about 10 minutes by car you can reach Termoli, visit the Cathedral of Santa Maria and the magnificent Swabian Castle. From Termoli you can also embark for an excursion on the legendary Tremiti Islands with their wonderful seabed and the suggestive sanctuary of Santa Maria a Mare on the Island of San Nicola.
Essentia has 8 beautiful rooms. They are all different in colors and design as they are a showcase of the territory. In fact they are named by local food as wheat or caciocavallo. In each room you will find a description of the product written on the wall in Italian and English. All rooms are double and twin, but being very large can accommodate 4 people. Two rooms have a fireplace, while others have a wooden roof and the suite has a free standing bathtub. The 6 ground floor rooms have private access and a private garden. Breakfast and other meals of the day can be reserved and enjoyed in the annex, an opportunity to discover the products of the farm and the local delights.
Essentia is a dream that becomes reality. The dream begins when Salvatore and Marina decide to renovate their grandparents’ house. The desire to preserve the original structure of the house and keep intact some historical parts comes from love for tradition and for their own family. The floors of the house are the same that their the grandparents built piece by piece, floors on which they have walked throughout their lives. Today Salvatore and Marina open their home to guests with a warm and nice welcome. Their passion for nature and its rhythms shines through the care they take in agro-food production, a passion they want to share through cooking classes, tastings and other activities that involve they guests season after season: the olive harvest, the search for mushrooms, truffles and above all experiences on the cereal world to rediscover the ancient grains produced in the farm.
