At Cascina Bricchetto guests can attend cooking classes offered by Giovanna Oliveri, the owner, to learn how to prepare typical local specialties. She will also advise you and even book visits with tastings to wineries, small cheese producers, cured meats, and typical desserts. This region boasts a world-famous food and wine tradition thanks to its fine wines, truffles, cheeses, salami, hazelnuts, nougat, chocolate, famous recipes and unique flavors. It is no surprise that the Slow Food movement was born in Bra. This area is also renowned for its many cultural, musical and food and wine events that take place throughout the year, such as the world-famous Truffle Fair, one of the most important international events for those who love the precious Alba white truffle, historical re-enactments in costume to celebrate legendary episodes that marked the history of the Middle Ages, and lively weekly markets such as those in Alba, Cuneo, Asti, and Bra.
