Casa Delo is a stylish structure located in the district of Maniace, in the historic center on the island of Ortigia, the heart of Syracuse, Sicily. Its name refers to the Greek origins of the city that Pindar calls “worthy sister of Delos”, island of the Cyclades that was originally called Ortigia, being like the Ortigia of Sicily abundant with quails called Ortighes by the Greeks and then called Delos, bright island, after Latona gave her the gift of prosperity, for having given birth there to Apollo and Artemis. Walking in this part of the city signifies savouring centuries of history, recognizing in the still existing buildings the Greek and Roman civilizations and the everlasting passage of the Aragonese and Arabs. Temples, castles, ancient aristocratic residences and baroque churches determine the charm of the islet dedicated to Artemis. A few steps away, you can discover the temple of Apollo, the Duomo and the ancient market, the Castle of Maniace, the Aretusa Fountain, museums, theaters, shops and use the guarded parkings. Many other baroque monuments of the city and historic buildings are also scattered here. Today it is a true landmark for those who want to discover the historical and cultural beauty of Syracuse. The island overlooks the Ionian Sea and is physically connected to the mainland by two bridges.
Housed within the walls of an ancient building, Casa Delo, on the island of Ortigia, Sicily, has been completely renovated. Furnished in a refined way, with extreme attention to detail, it is composed of a comfortable living room, where it is possible to add a single bed, a kitchen, two double bedrooms, each with its own bathroom and with private shower. Spread over 150m2, the house is equipped with air conditioning, heating, wifi, digital TV, washing machine and dishwasher. It can host up to 4+1 guests.
