Casa dei Grilli is just outside the centre of Longiano, a picturesque medieval town still protected by its ancient but well-preserved defensive walls. This is the hilly hinterland of Romagna, dear to cyclists, history lovers and those with a passion for good food, who are spoilt for choice when it comes to local summer festivals. Only 20 minutes away is the elegant historic town of Santarcangelo, beloved by poet Tonino Guerra and many other artists besides; the equally charming Cesena is situated at the same distance, while Bertinoro, famous for its wine, can be reached in about 30 minutes.  The Adriatic coast and the beach resorts of Rimini and Riccione are also within easy reach.

Casa dei Grilli is a handsome two-storey building of the 1940s, with a plaster and stone facade, which has been recently renovated.  Inside it is light and spacious, the walls painted with delicate soft colours, while the floors are covered by the original marble grit tiles, lovingly preserved by Signora Marisa, the owner of Casa dei Grilli.  Guests will love the large garden that surrounds the house, with stone paths between the flower beds, and the huge terrace with gazebo, awnings and sun umbrellas that shade the chairs and wrought iron tables.  Here they can  enjoy the delicious, rich buffet breakfast and also relax , sitting comfortably under the snow white canopies or taking the sun, and admiring the wonderful views over Longiano, the Adriatic Sea and the verdant Romagna countryside.

Casa dei Grilli has seven large rooms, all Wi-Fi enabled. They are decorated with taste and bright with light that streams through the windows framed by white and ecru curtains, some of which open onto a balcony.
