Ca’ de Tobia is in the Ligurian town of Noli. Rich in art and history, this medieval village is situated on the Western Italian Riviera and enjoys a strategic position; in fact, in a day it is possible to visit many of the interesting locations of Liguria, with Genoa just a hour away, and within easy reach of the Tre Terre (half an hour), Sanremo (75 minutes), and Savona (a mere 20 minutes).
Ca’ de Tobia is a luxury guest house, in a building of the early twentieth century on the seafront of Noli, in western Liguria. Those who travel by car can leave it in the Spotorno car park owned by the hotel, use the shuttle service to Ca’ de Tobia and forget driving for a little while, if they want. In 2011 the proprietor, Andrea, decided to restore this early 20th-century seaside house that had been in the family for generations, taking care of any little detail of the interior design, and preserving some of the original furniture pieces, like his grandmother’s dressers. The predominant colour in the house is white, which brightens up and induces a mellow atmosphere in the elegant rooms decorated with colourful ceramics and paintings. Through the communal spaces’ windows the view is of the blue sea, the palms and the beach, which enhances the dreamlike quality one feels at Ca’ de Tobia.
There are six spacious rooms, all soundproof and air conditioned, provided with en-suite bathrooms, TV and free Wi-Fi connection. A comfortable sitting room is available for the guests to use, while the breakfast buffet is set up in the lovely dining room with a terrace looking out to the sea. Every morning fresh products, sweet and savoury and always varied, are served to start the day well, before taking a walk up the soft hills of the hinterland, following one of the itineraries suggested by the proprietor, or cycling on one of the hotel’s bikes. Alternatively, the “Victoria Club” in front of Ca’ de Tobia, owned by Andrea’s sister, offers beach services to those who are looking for relaxation.
