Arcatella is a hospitality facility located in one of the most elevated buildings in the town of Casorzo in Piedmont, close to the old town center. Immersed in a diverse and exceptionally interesting landscape, it offers a relaxing and peaceful environment, surrounded by the vineyards of Monferrato, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and boasts breathtaking panoramas. Its location makes it easy to get to many cultural, food and wine and sporting sites in Piedmont, discovering castles, stores, trattorias and restaurants where you can experience the flavors of this land and taste its fine wines. You can hunt for history and beauty: in Casale Monferrato, with the Cathedral of Sant’Evasio, built in the 8th century by the Lombards, and the Paleologi Castle, an imposing structure of medieval origin with four towers; in Asti, with its many Baroque buildings such as Palazzo Ottolenghi, Romanesque such as the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta and of great interest such as Palazzo Mazzetti; and in Moncalvo, one of the smallest towns in Italy, with a rich medieval past. It is also home to the famous National Truffle Fair in early October and, for more than 360 years, the impressive Fiera Nazionale di sua Maestà il Bue Grasso in early December. A few kilometers away, the Crea Park and Sacro Monte di Crea, between nature and history, will captivate you with the Sanctuary of Santa Maria Assunta, rich in paintings and frescoes. For lovers of outdoor activities, the Piedmont Po Nature Park offers hiking and ecological walks, biking, canoeing and horseback riding.

Arcatella‘s owners, in Casorzo, Piedmont, fell deeply in love with this part of Italy, and decided to leave Switzerland behind and carefully renovate the buildings that comprise Arcatella, most notably the two-story main house, which houses two large apartments – Menta and Melagrana – with tastefully equipped kitchens, and two large double suites – Limone and Senape. The interiors are bright, airy, tastefully furnished and have all modern amenities. These four accomodations all feature a private bathroom and a beautiful loggia furnished with table and chairs, umbrella and sun loungers with blankets. The house offers underfloor heating in all rooms, an elevator, and hot water provided by solar energy. On the ground floor, there is a spacious breakfast room and library. Outdoors, in front of the porch, complete with chairs and tables, there is a lovely little square with tables for breakfast and aperitifs under large umbrellas, which leads out to a relaxing garden. Behind the main building is a spacious parking lot with charging connection for electric cars and a lawn where a gazebo stands, ideal for admiring the beautiful landscape over the surrounding hills. Small, well-behaved animals are welcome.

Arcatella‘s owners offer you to enjoy their rich breakfast buffet. The region’s food and wine heritage is rich and diverse: besides meats, cured meats, vegetables, desserts and wines, white and red of the highest level, you will find cheeses, extra virgin olive oil and quality canning productions. Yet, the region’s great treasure is the world-renowned truffle, both black and white. Among the hills of Piedmont below the Po River, the months of October and November count as many as 24 Truffle Fairs or Sagre del Tartufo (Truffle Festivals) that offer, in addition to the precious tuber, traditional cuisine, musical events, handicraft products and expositions of objects from the peasant life of bygone da
