Saint Vincent is a small town in Aosta district, in Valle d’Aosta.
Is located on the Dora Baltea and offers an excellent position to admire the natural beauty of Valle d’Aosta, both in summer with excursions in vegetation and in winter thanks to the near ski resort at Col de Joux.
In Saint Vincent there’s the Church of Saint Vincent, built in the eleventh century in Romanesque style. It is located on a former Roman settlement and was modified in the following centuries. Inside there are beautiful frescoes dating back to the 1400 and the paintings on the triumphal arch of the same century. The church also houses a museum which includes sculptures and frescoes and many religious art objects.
In Saint Vincent there are the baths discovered in 1770. To the old baths have been added modern spas that are a destination both for tourism, both for medical needs for inhalation treatments related to the respiratory and gastric systems.
Near Saint Vincent we can find the geological site of Tsailleun. In this area there is an ancient Roman bridge and rock carvings, and the whole area offers a view rich of minerals and rocks, many species of wild orchids and ferns.
In Saint Vincent there is also the Casino de la Vallée, one of the largest casinos in Europe, the Palais, a building which hosts shows and musical events every year, and the Galleria Civica d’Arte Moderna.
