Le Dimore Mezza Costa is only a stone’s throw away from the historic town of San Casciano in Val di Pesa, one of the many architectural jewels of Tuscany.  This area is indeed blessed with Romanesque churches and castles, many within easy reach of Le Dimore Mezza Costa and definitely worth a visit.  A little further away are Florence and Siena, respectively 20 and 40 minutes in the car.  The district is known as Florentine Chianti and sits at 180 m above sea level; it is renowned to wine lovers worldwide, and in the nearby towns of Montespertoli, Greve in Chianti and Impruneta they will find more than one opportunity for some fine wine tasting.

Le Dimore Mezza Costa is an elegant building with the most wonderful of views over the rolling hills of Tuscany.  Originally used to accommodate the farm labourers of San Casciano in Val di Pesa, the house dates back to the 17th c.; its white facade, crowned with a sloping roof and inset with green shuttered windows, stands high among the vineyards.  Fabrizio and Vincenzo, who manage it with dedication and passion, are from Palermo and have years of experience in the hospitality sector; after working in Florentine hotels, they decided to look for a place of their own to live and work, and have not looked back since.  Every nook and corner of Le Dimore Mezza Costa have been designed with their guests’ comfort in mind, from the rooms to the communal areas; there is a gym fitted with Technogym equipment, a spacious gazebo for them to sit in the shade of its white canopy, and an inviting library that features a fireplace and is suitable to host events.  In fact, the whole house can be hired for special occasions, official dinners, cultural events, meetings, seminars and courses.

Le Dimore Mezza Costa has four airy rooms,  a junior suite and a suite, all quite different from one another although they are similarly furnished, in the traditional Tuscan country style, and decorated with beautiful ethnic furnishings.  Wide wood floorboards and exposed stone, beams and warm colours add more than a touch of comfort, while their splendid views make these rooms memorable.
